About the Opportunity:

QCG is seeking an experienced Cardiac Sonographer to join our friendly and supportive cardiac imaging team, dedicated to delivering high-quality patient care. As a valued member of our multidisciplinary team, you will play a key role in providing comprehensive cardiac imaging and testing services.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform, analyse, and report on a range of cardiac tests, including echocardiograms, exercise stress tests and ambulatory monitoring.

Working collaboratively with your colleagues to provide professional and compassionate patient-centred care.

Be actively involved in continuous professional learning and development activities including participating in regular on-site education sessions.

Provide supervision to work placement students and assist in the professional development of junior sonographers.

Contribute positively to the overall delivery of our cardiac testing services

We’re looking for a sonographer who has:

Current ASAR Accredited Cardiac Sonographer Certificate

Post qualification experience in cardiac ultrasound, including echocardiograms and ambulatory monitoring (ideally 2+ years)

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

A friendly, sensitive and professional approach to dealing with patients

Proven experience in working independently and within a team environment

Ability to adapt to changing routines and priorities in an efficient and calm manner

Demonstrated commitment to continuous learning and development

Other requirements for the role:

A valid Australian driver’s license and access to a car, as the role will require you to travel between QCG Brisbane sites (St Vincent’s, St Andrew’s, Mater and Greenslopes Private Hospitals).
