
As Chief of Modality, Breast Imaging at Jones Radiology, you will provide the highest level of clinical and technical expertise within the Breast Imaging team, ensuring patients receive safe, accurate and timely care across mammography, breast ultrasound and interventional procedures. This role is responsible for resolving complex cases and equipment issues, training and developing staff, and overseeing day-to-day rostering, bookings and billing operations.
You’ll report to the Modality Manager, with the 2IC Chief of Modality, Breast Imaging reporting to this role.
A typical day might include:
– Performing and overseeing VABs, stereotactic and hookwire localisations, and carbon track marking
– Performing MRI-guided breast biopsies and providing expert breast ultrasound services, including MRI/CEM follow-ups, core biopsies, FNAs, hookwires and carbon tracks
– Mentoring and upskilling junior and existing staff through supervision, case review and feedback
– Acting as the primary contact for radiologist concerns relating to the modality, and liaising with management and admin teams to resolve issues
– Overseeing day-to-day rostering, bookings and billing operations for the team
8:15am – 4:45pm
8:30am – 5:00pm
9:00am – 5:00pm
